T-4 Weeks Until Shanghai Disneyland!

In just 4 short weeks I’ll wake up at the Toy Story Hotel and embark on my first visit to Shanghai Disneyland! I can hardly contain my excitement! Though, if you ask my friends and family, I’m guessing I’m not containing my excitement at all. Over the last month I think I’ve watched just about every YouTube video out there - walking tours, POVs, food tastings - you name it!

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

  1. Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure really is all it’s cracked up to be. The on-ride videos are incredible, the mix of practical and video effects are insane, and it consistently ranks among the highest-rated Disney attractions on Earth.

  2. I’ll probably pee my pants on TRON Lightcycle Power Run. I’m a huge TRON fan, and the only person I know who really enjoyed TRON Legacy (though most of that is due to the amazing soundtrack Daft Punk put together). A co-worker of mine has demanded a personalize POV of the ride, but, I’d rather not be kicked out of a Disney park for life. haha!

  3. The snacks look amazing!

  4. I’m unbelievably excited.

Here’s what I still need to figure out:

  1. What snacks should I try? I can’t possibly try all of them (though believe me, I’ll try!).

  2. What restaurants should I eat at? I’ve heard good things about Wandering Moon, but what else should I try?

  3. Collectibles - I collect Disney parks mugs, so I’ll definitely grab a couple of those, but what other awesome items are available in Shanghai?

  4. Coffee - Is coffee available at the hotel or park? Last time I was in China (7 years ago) coffee was difficult to find. Well, really, I could only find it at Starbucks, and those were few and far between. Since I’m definitely not addicted (I can quit whenever I want!), I need to prepare.

I can’t wait to share all my travel stories with you in just a few short weeks!
